As a operative of a cctv system are you allowed to track individuals?
A, Never
B, Yes yiu can track anyone at anytime
C, Yes but only after the police have informed you that the individual has committed a a offence.
D, Yes but only with due cause.
The answer is D. but with supposed just cause. If an operator were to follow a girl with big boobs just to take a look, that would be deemed illegal. However, if a person (say you or I ) were walking along and the operator thought we looked suspicious or ill or in trouble whatever, they are allowed to track you to ensure your and others wellbeing. The camera's are so clear you can zoom in and see the colour of a persons eyes - read a book they are reading (if you have a note in your hand they can read it) - believe me they can see everything. All tapes are sealed and kept for a period of 6 years.
