It really depends on why you want to buy it. If you are planning on using it as a grocery getter, that's horrific on gas but great on style than good for it.
If you are buying it for it's offroad capable or in this case major disablity than NO.

Hummers are becoming a dime a dozen if you are going to spend the bucks and want off road capablity, major class, long last elegance and a great return on investment consider a land or range rover. If you are not a fan of imports than seriously consider a Jeep. And don't do your research through a salesman or a dealership go online to the different hummer or jeep or whatever vehicle clubs you like and learn the pit falls and advantages of each.

Also remember when buying a vehicle on ebay make sure the deal is subject to a mechanics inspection (not done with the mechanic the seller is suggesting), be prepared to pay for shipping, inspection fees, out of state transfers and taxes.
