Want to buy a multifunctional, externally upgradable, zero maintanance laptop(similar to a workstation).?
i reside in Bombay.I want a laptop/note book which has highest memory ie.memory can be upgraded to any amount, externaly, has nearly all the functions ie,office work, multimedia work, engginerring software etc can be used,everything(from memory to motherboard to any other part can be upgraded,using external attachments ie.should not have any in-built functions as they cannot be upgraded in future years for eg. in future any amt of gb's (chip cards) & above can be added.it should be shock ,fire & waterproof, where portable blue tooth - wifi gadgets & equipments can be used, ext modem can be used plus all other external gadets which one can think off. suggest me the best reliable company which also inovates external upgradations ,where basic laptop/note remains the same. in case such a laptop is not readily available, suggest configuration with parts to be used in laptop with prices of each part, if a customised laptop has to be made, for an expert any challenge is possible.
I'm not sure if u really want to buy a laptop...
however, if u do wanna buy one.
go for an Apple with Leopard OS.
I'm not sure how many Engg. S/W are available in the market for that OS, or what kind.
but for all other stuff, it's a very good laptop with minimal maintenance...
